The Last Tear

After tonight
I will not shed a single tear for us, for you anymore.
Broken promises, broken dreams
shattered like glass
why do I still keep the splinters to pierce my wounded heart?

Now the tears flow
as I recall in full the times we shared together
the good, the bad, the lies, the charade.
I cry because I realised I did not know
you did not love me all along.
I cry becasue I was made a fool,
my pride beyond bruised,
my heart in tatters has long begun to heal

I see the scars and I cry some more.
Where's my justice I asked my God.
